About Dr. Brandy

 

Dr. Brandy Reid, Psy.D, LMFT is a clinician, speaker, and organizational consultant with nearly two decades of experience spanning community mental health, private practice, and program development. Her work bridges clinical excellence with systems-level impact, making her a sought-after voice on mental health, leadership, and culturally responsive care.

Dr. Reid has worked extensively with diverse populations both domestically and internationally, with a specialized focus on Transitional Age Youth (TAY) involved in Juvenile Probation and Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) systems. She is also highly experienced in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Habit Reversal Training (HRT). Her clinical work is known for blending structured interventions with compassionate, culturally attuned care.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Reid provides executive coaching and develops impactful training programs for clinicians, organizations, and leadership teams. She has also contributed to the field through her writing and creative work, including her forthcoming book, How to Make Lemonade: Turning Life’s Hardest Moments into Healing, Self-Awareness, and Transformation, which reflects her broader mission of helping individuals transform adversity into growth.

Dr. Reid currently serves as a Clinical Supervisor and practicing clinician in private practice. She previously served on the Board of Directors for Seed House Project and on the Advisory Committee for Tarzana Treatment Center College, contributing to the development of future mental health professionals and community-based programming.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Pan-African Studies from California State University, Northridge, a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and a Doctorate in Organizational Psychology from Phillips Graduate University.

Based in Los Angeles, Dr. Reid is passionate about transforming how individuals, communities, and organizations approach healing, resilience, and sustainable growth.
